• About Us

  • Hi! I'm Toni, the owner and creator behind Red Boot Quilts. I live in Australia with my family and two grumpy kitties.

I drink far too many cups of tea, love to grow flowers, and adore our local wildlife (even the snakes - mostly).

I’ve always been drawn to fabric. I love colour and texture, and especially enjoy the process of taking a 'flat' piece of fabric and turning it into a beautiful, useful quilt.

  • I started making children’s quilts when a little girl I knew was quite unwell and had to spend a long time in hospital.

One day she asked me to make her a 'puppy quilt', so I got out my scissors and sewing machine, and got to work.

I’m pleased to say she loved her quilt, and most importantly, recovered from her illness.

Since then I’ve made and gifted dozens of quilts to children and adults alike.

  • I’ve designed for fabric stores, multiple magazines, and several fabric companies. I've also published a book called 'Happy Quilts'.

Recently I designed and made a quilt for FreeSpirit Fabrics and Tula Pink.

    Happy sewing y'all, toni xx

  • It was a dark and stormy night...

A little while ago, I stumbled across 'Snoopy's novel' when I was browsing the internet.

Apparently it was 'written' over the course of many comic strips, and I fell in love with it's playfulness.

I've re-posted it in the hope it brightens your day and makes you smile as much as it did me.

  • Snoopy's Novel Part 1.

It was a dark and stormy night. Suddenly, a shot rang out! A door slammed. The maid screamed. Suddenly, a pirate ship appeared on the horizon! While millions of people were starving, the king lived in luxury. Meanwhile, on a small farm in Kansas, a boy was growing up.

  • Snoopy's Novel Part 2

A light snow was falling, and the little girl with the tattered shawl had not sold a violet all day.

At that very moment, a young intern at City Hospital was making an important discovery. The mysterious patient in Room 213 had finally awakened. She moaned softly.

Could it be that she was the sister of the boy in Kansas, who loved the girl with the tattered shawl, who was the daughter of the maid who had escaped from the pirates?

  • The intern frowned.
“Stampede!” the foreman shouted, and forty thousand head of cattle thundered down on the tiny camp. The two men rolled on the ground grappling beneath the murderous hooves.

A left and a right. A left. Another left and right. An uppercut to the jaw. The fight was over. And so the ranch was saved.

The young intern sat by himself in one corner of the coffee shop. He had learned about medicine, but more importantly, he had learned something about life.

    THE END.
