FreeSpirit Fabrics - Pattern Releases
Thanks for your patience. I know this has been a tumultuous time for everyone.
The implementation of US tariffs, plus the shipping and customs changes that have come with them, have greatly affected the FreeSpirit Fabrics pattern releases. Multiple wholesale orders were cancelled due to the tariffs which made us rethink our stock levels and left us out-of-pocket.
Keepsake Quilting in the US is currently taking orders for the fabric kits for two new releases.
I have received confirmation the Celebrations fabric collection by Katie Pasquini Masopust has been cancelled - the fabric won't be produced. My apologies to anyone who pre-ordered the fabric, I wasn't advised of the cancellation. The current pattern contains additional instructions for the quilt made with my own fabrics. I will update the pattern as soon as I can.
Please remember the FreeSpirit Fabrics quilts have been designed using digital images provided by the company. I don't have access to the actual fabric used in these designs and it's not usually sent to me.
Because the patterns are designed in this manner, changes sometimes need to be made to both the quilt design and the materials list (including quantities) before release. These changes are usually minor and are required due to the digital nature of the design.
The quilts/patterns are proofed using my own fabrics and the alternative materials list and instructions (for my version of the quilt) are usually included with the pattern.
Pre-ordered Kits & Patterns
There are a number of quilt stores and resellers, both online and not, selling quilt kits based on the catalogue photos alone.
I can't guarantee these pre-ordered kits will have the correct amount of fabric in them to make the quilts, or that you will be able to buy a copy of the relevant pattern.
The Red Boot Quilt Company is not liable for any costs or damages in relation to the sale of these quilt and/or fabric kits.
Please always ask the seller about their kits before purchasing. You need to know whether the seller has a copy of the actual pattern and materials list. The materials lists provided in the pre-release catalogues are, at best, estimates. The following disclaimer appears in each FreeSpirit catalogue:
"Yardage amounts (above) are estimates to buy against, not kit against. For kitting please refer to the final pattern. It is recommended you make a quilt top prior to kitting".
