Zoom to the Moon with me!

Thank y'all for your lovely messages about Spud, I'm sorry I haven't replied to anyone yet. I'll try to do that soon. Did I tell you I pinched a nerve in my lower back two weeks ago?

Oh dear God, the agony.

I ended up in the ER on Sunday night and was admitted for CT scans and pain relief. I can't feel my foot or calf, and can't walk, sit, or lay down without severe pain.

I had another scan today, so I just have to wait and see what the report says. In the meantime I can't sew, can't clean, can't cook... mmm, maybe it's not all that bad???

All jokes aside, I've never been in this much pain in my entire life. I'd rate it at 11/10; it's making me pukey, and it's not getting better, not even a small bit.

I had a parcel of fabric delivered from Jen Kingwell on Monday and I haven't opened it yet - I think that says it all!

They say women's pain isn't taken seriously and I can attest to that right now. 12 days of severe pain without any sign of relief. Did you know that statistically women are given low levels of pain relief (eg. panadol/tylenol) and men are given opiods etc. One day I hope the buggers get to give birth!

Take care of yourselves, I'll be back to my normal happy self soon I hope. Pray I don't need spinal surgery. I'm going to be really cranky if I need surgery for such a small, insignificant trip (over the iron cord).
