I made the mistake of looking at the calendar today and nearly chucked a fit. How in the name of everything holy, is it the 31st of July?
I've completely lost track of time since my stupid accident. Six weeks on and I'm slowly recovering. I keep being told that spinal injuries take a long time to heal "at your age". I swear I'm ready to bop the next person who utters that particular phrase on the nose.
Look, I have a lot of menopausal rage stored up just waiting to be set free. I'll be writing letters to the Editor before I know it :oD

I read an article in a magazine or newspaper once about how some people attract calamity or are accident prone. I remember thinking thank God I'm not the only one.
One particular woman was known by name at the ER (she was there so often). I'll never forget her saying that she'd once been beaned on the head by a frozen duck... it had fallen out of the sky.
We could be besties!
I've had a dirty great water dragon fall out of a tree onto my head. At least her duck was frozen... try grappling with a huge, cranky, very-much-alive water dragon with claws!
